I am a qualified teacher (B.Ed) with some 20 years experience in teaching Geography, Information Technology and Outdoor Activities. My professional qualifications include being an Associate member of the Institute of IT Training and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. I organise ICT training for the teaching and administration staff at my College and our feeder Primary schools. This training has covered a wide range of software including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint plus internet software. We have a large computer network and an Intranet; Widows 95/98 PCs running Netware 4.11; Apple Mac machines running Mac OS 8.6 I have also organised training using the Internet and web page design. I set up and designed the College's web site, see the link below. Recently I have been developing multimedia using Hyper Studio, the multimedia presentation package and expanding our web site and Intranet.

I have a good knowledge of desktop publishing using PageMaker. I used these skills for seven years to edit the magazine Caves & Caving the Bulletin of the British Cave Research Association and also my caving Club's Journal and expedition reports
